FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. – The 2021 Minnesota State Fair opens today following a year off due to COVID-19.
Fair spokeswoman Danielle Dullinger says after being out of business for two years almost, really, we’re just excited to be able to open the gates and have people come in and support these vendors.
Dullinger is urging all fairgoers to wear masks indoors and outdoors in large crowds. Around 150 vendors dropped out this year, but she says there will still be nearly a thousand vendors, including 61 new merchandise vendors and nine new food vendors.
The state is offering 100-dollar Visa gift cards to Minnesotans who get their first COVID-19 vaccine dose at the State Fair.
