ATLANTA, GA. – Former Minnesota Vikings running back Herschel Walker has filed the paperwork for a campaign to run for the U-S Senate in Georgia.
The 59-year-old Walker won the 1982 Heisman Trophy while playing for the Georgia Bulldogs. He gets an even bigger boost from the support of former President Donald Trump. Walker has never run for office in the past.
He and several other Republicans are trying to unseat Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock in the 2022 Election.
