FARGO, N.D. – (KFGO) – There are now new water use restrictions for residents and businesses in Fargo, Moorhead, and Dilworth as drought conditions continue to worsen.
The restrictions limit residents to only one day of lawn and garden watering per week rather than every other day. The one-day outdoor water use is to coincide with garbage pickup days in all three cities.
The new restrictions do not affect water for commercial or industrial use.
Fargo City Administrator Bruce Grubb told the commission that water levels have dropped dramatically in the Red and Sheyenne rivers and the reservoirs in North Dakota and Minnesota that supply water to the Fargo-Moorhead metro.
