ST. PAUL, Minn. – A former petroleum industry executive from Apple Valley will spend more than two years in federal prison for defrauding his employer out of nearly $1 million.
59-year-old Gregg William Johnson, as chief financial officer for Chemstar Products between 2014 and 2020, stole about $930,000 in company funds for personal expenses, including credit cards, mortgage payments and college tuition for his children.
To conceal the theft, Johnson put false entries into the company’s accounting software. He pleaded guilty in March.
