ROCHESTER, Minn. – Mayo Clinic is launching a 200-million-dollar expansion that is expected to create more than 100 jobs.
The project will add 110-thousand square feet to Mayo’s Proton Beam Therapy Program in downtown Rochester. The expansion will include two underground floors, a first level, a lobby level, and space for future construction.
Work is expected to begin late next year and officials hope to begin treating patients in the new facility in 2025.
Mayo says the expansion will allow for the treatment of 900 more patients a year and create 117 new jobs.
