Superior National Forest Fire (U.S. Forest Service-Superior National Forest)
ISABELLA, Minn. – A large wildfire broke out in the Superior National Forest Sunday afternoon.
The fire, dubbed “The Greenwood Fire” broke out near Greenwood Lake about 15 miles southwest of Isabella. The fire by Sunday evening already covered around 200 acres but was moving quickly.
The Minnesota National Guard has been authorized to support the wildfire response in Northern Minnesota.
