FRANKLIN, WI – The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks downed the Milwaukee Milkmen 4-2 Sunday afternoon.
The RedHawks jumped on the board early when Correlle Prime scored on a Jordan George sacrifice fly in the top of the first inning to take a 1-0 lead.
Fargo-Moorhead added to the lead with a Manny Boscan RBI single that plated John Silviano in the top of the second inning making it 2-0 RedHawks.
The Milkmen answered in the home half of the third inning when Brett Vertigan scored on an Adam Brett Walker RBI single cutting the RedHawks lead to 2-1.
Kevin Krause hit a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to lift the ‘Hawks to a 4-1 lead.
Milwaukee put a run on the board in the bottom of the ninth inning but the rally falls short as the ‘Hawks hold on for the 4-2 victory.
The RedHawks return home to start a series with the Kansas City Monarchs on Monday night, Jack Michaels will have the call, pregame at 6:40 p.m. first pitch 7:02 p.m. on 740 The Fan and 107.3FM.
