Gary, IN – The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks fell to the Gary SouthShore RailCats 12- 3 Saturday evening.
The RailCats wasted little time getting on the board when Jacob Talamante drove in M.J. Rookard in the bottom of the first inning to take a 1-0 lead.
Talamante got another RBI in the second inning plating Ciaran Devenney in the bottom of the second inning to lift Gary SouthShore to a 2-0 lead.
The ‘Cats scored 2 runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to take a 4-0 lead.
Fargo-Moorhead got on the board in the top of the fifth inning as Alex Boxwell scored on a Manny Boscan RBI single to make it 4-1 RailCats.
The RailCats added 3 more runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to take a 7-1 lead.
The ‘Hawks cut into the lead on a John Silviano 2RBI single in the top of the eighth inning that made it 7-3 Gary SouthShore.
The ‘Cats put up 5 runs in the home half of the eighth inning lifting the RailCats to a 12-3 victory.
The RedHawks wrap up this series with the RailCats on Sunday afternoon, Joel Morgan will have the call, pregame at 1:50 p.m. first pitch 2:10 p.m. on 740 The Fan and 107.3FM.
