(Cleveland, OH) — It didn’t take long for Nelson Cruz’s bat to heat up for his new team. Forty-one-year-old Cruz hit a home run in his second at-bat for the Rays in a 10-5 win at Cleveland Friday night.
The solo shot was his first hit as a Ray and put them up 4-0 at Progressive Field. He now has 20 homers this season.
The Minnesota Twins traded Cruz Thursday to Tampa Bay as part of a four-player deal.
