MOORHEAD (KFGO) – Moorhead Public Service is warning customers of a payment-collection scam.
Numerous customers have been called by a person or have received an automated message demanding payment. Moorhead Public Service uses automated messages to collect from customers with past due balances, but it does not demand direct payment or use threatening tactics.
If you receive such a call that seems suspicious, do not provide any financial or personal information. You can verify your account information by calling 218-477-8000. Use option 4.
