Three people seriously injured in two-vehicle crash near East Grand Forks

EAST GRAND FORKS, Minn. (KFGO) – Three people were seriously injured in a head-on collision near East Grand Forks Thursday shortly after 3 p.m.

The State Patrol says a pickup, northbound on Highway 220 crossed over the center-line and collided with an SUV.  Valentin Mendoza, 20, of Zavala, Texas, the driver of the pickup, and the driver of the SUV Ethan Carsen, 17, of Grand Forks, and his passenger, Damien Powell, 16, both of Grand Forks, were all transported to Altru Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Both vehicles were heavily damaged in the crash.
