WAHPETON, ND (KFGO) – Police have released the names of two people who died in a murder-suicide early last Friday morning.
Officers were called to a home on the city’s north side. A woman had reported that she’d been threatened by a man with a gun. As officers approached, a gunshot was heard.
The Southern Valley Special Response Team entered the home where they found 52-year-old Karen Ertelt-Wanner and 62-year-old Gregory Zander.
The medical examiner’s office determined that Ertelt-Wanner died of multiple gunshot wounds while Zander’s death was the result of a single gunshot wound.
