Northwest RegionWalleye can be found near new weed growth on the shallow flats, breaks and shoreline drop-offs. Jigs or live bait rigs tipped with a minnow, leech or plastic tail have been effective. This week’s warm temperatures should push walleye to deeper waters. Bass are hitting plastics in the shallows. Most crappies and bluegills are in and around the emerging weeds.
