FARGO (KFGO) – Fargo’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Selection Committee is recommending a candidate for the city’s first DEI director. 62 people applied and there interviews with the top five candidates.
The city commission will be asked to approve a contract with Dr. Terry Hogan at its meeting on Tuesday.
The city says Hogan has conducted substantial research on issues surrounding diversity, equity and inclusion during the last 18 years at several higher education schools in the Chicago area.
Selection committee members included Mayor Tim Mahoney, City Commissioner Arlette Preston, the city administrator, the assistant administrator, a city planner, a human relations commissioner and an indian affairs commissioner.
