PINE CITY, Minn. – A driver will be cited for forcing a medical helicopter to abort a landing at a crash scene Tuesday.
The Pine County Sheriff’s Office says a driver went around a fire truck blocking the road, even though he had been told to go the other way by a deputy and a firefighter. That forced the helicopter to abort its landing, to take off, then attempt a re-landing.
Three people were needing air transport to a hospital. The victims’ medical conditions haven’t been released.
