Fargo fire damages Minnkota Recycling building

FARGO (KFGO) – A compactor is to blame for a fire at MinnKota recycling in Fargo.

First responders arrived at 903 4th Ave N at 12:54 Tuesday afternoon and found a fire inside the MinnKota recycling building.

Fire Marshal Ryan Erickson says there was cardboard around the compactor that helped fuel the fire.  He says the building’s sprinklers did go off and most of the fight was to get the smoldering cardboard out of the building.

There were workers inside the building at the time of the fire, but there were not any injuries.
