BISMARCK, N.D. – Carson Hegerle poured in 28 points as the West Fargo Packers edged out West Fargo Sheyenne 78-73 in the Class A boys basketball semifinals on Saturday from the Bismarck Events Center.
Carter Birrenkott added 19 points and 8 rebounds as the Packers will play in their first state championship since 2016.
Jacksen Moni paced Sheyenne with 20 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the floor. The Mustangs finish 24-2 overall, which is a school record for wins in a season.
West Fargo will play the winner of Fargo Davies/Minot in the championship on Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
