BISMARCK, N.D. – The Grand Forks Red River Roughriders moved to the semifinals of the Class A girls basketball tournament for the first time since 2016, with a 62-51 win over Watford City.
Jade Azure paced Red River with 15 points on 5-of-11 shooting, Alex Page added 14 points and Jasmine Sondrol chipped in 10 points for Red River.
Ashley Holen had a game-high 21 points and 8 rebounds for Watford City. The Wolves finished 18-6 overall in their first-ever trip to the Class A tournament.
Red River (21-4 overall) will play Davies in the semifinals on Saturday at 1 p.m. from the Bismarck Events Center. The two programs split their meetings during the regular season.
