MINOT- The Carrington Cardinals downed the Welton-Wing Miners 41-38 on Saturday to take third place in the North Dakota Class B girl’s state tournament.
The Cardinals, who finished the season 21-6 with the win, were led by Hannah Hagel, who scored a team-high 16 points.
Welton-Wing was paced by Hailey Quam who scored a tournament-high 23 points in the loss. The Miners finish the season with an overall record of 21-4.
