FARGO – Dave Richman summed up Saturday’s 84-82 win for North Dakota State over South Dakota State perfectly in the post-game press conference.
“That’s a great win for us, notice I didn’t say it was a pretty win,” said Richman.
The head coach for NDSU wasn’t lying.
Up 67-45 with 13:10 left to play inside the Scheels Center, it looked like the Bison had the Jacks on the ropes and the game well in hand.
SDSU went to a disruptive full-court press causing 8 turnovers in the second half and nearly came back for a Summit League road win in men’s basketball.
Douglas Wilson scored a game-high 29 points on 11-of-16 shooting from the floor for the Jackrabbits in the loss.
Rocky Kreuser was one of six players for NDSU in double figures as he scored 17 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.
