Digi-Key hiring as many as 100 workers a month

THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minn. – Bosses at Digi-Key, an electronics company, say their company is growing so quickly they can’t hire people fast enough.

Digi-Key has 4,000 workers at its location in Thief River Falls. The company has grown rapidly and is processing more than 5-million orders-a-year from customers worldwide.

Digi-Key sells its components to military, health care, and engineering companies. A spokesperson says the market isn’t expected to slow down anytime soon and some months they have hired 50-to-100 workers just to keep pace with the demand.
