FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (KFGO) – A man and a 2-year-old boy suffered critical injuries in a weekend house fire in Fergus Falls. The fire, at 315 West Douglas Ave., was reported at 3:22 p.m. Sunday.
Smoke was coming from the upper floor windows of the house when police and fire crews arrived.
The man, a woman, and three children were outside. The man, 26-year-old William Anderson, and the 2-year-old boy, were transferred from Lake Region Healthcare to the burn unit of Regions Hospital in St. Paul.
The cause of the fire was determined to be a child playing with a lighter in the bedroom where the blaze started.
