Fargo South upended No. 3 West Fargo 86-82 in Eastern Dakota Conference boys basketball on Friday night.
Kameron Arechigo scored 19 of his 22 points in the second half and made six three-pointers for South. Khamani Steckler matched Arechigo with 22 points and 7 rebounds as the Bruins improved to 9-8 overall.
Carson Hegerle scored a game-high 30 points for West Fargo and Carter Birrenkott added 22 points and 5 rebounds. The Packers drop to 13-3 overall and return to the court at home against Shanley on Tuesday.
South plays Moorhead in a nonconference title on Saturday at 2 p.m.
