Kansas City edged out North Dakota State with a 53-45 win in Summit League women’s basketball on Friday afternoon.
NDSU had 20 turnovers and was limited to 32.7% shooting from the floor. NDSU’s previous lowest output was 59 points against Green Bay on December 5, 2020.
Jonaie Johnson scored a game-high 18 points and 8 grabbed rebounds in the win for Kansas City.
Emily Dietz paced the Bison with 17 points and 8 rebounds.
NDSU (11-4 overall, 6-3 Summit) closes out their weekend series with Kansas City (7-7 overall, 4-4 Summit) on Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Swinney Recreation Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
