
BISMARCK – North Dakota health officials are reporting a drop in hospitalizations due to the coronavirus and a low percentage of positive daily tests as the state prepares to end its mask mandate and ease business restrictions.
The Sunday update showed that hospitalizations were down 10 from Saturday, to 85. Officials say 152 of 4,781 tests processed in the last day came back positive, for a daily positivity rate of 3.61%. There were three new deaths.
Data released Saturday by The COVID Tracking Project showed about 371 new cases per 100,000 people in North Dakota over the past two weeks, which ranks 49th in the country per capita. One in every 658 people in North Dakota tested positive in the past week.
