Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-ND)
WASHINGTON (KFGO) -US Sen. Kevin Cramer says he believes that President Trump is beginning to accept the reality that he has lost the election.
Cramer, a staunch supporter of the President, says he does not think it makes sense to attempt to impeach Trump or remove him by invoking the 25th Amendment.
“He’s capable of emotional, emotionally getting control and doing the right thing, I believe he will, I really do,” Cramer told KFGO News.
“One thing about the president, while he’s prone, his impulses are prone to sort of outbursts, he’s a long-game thinker and he’s more than capable of staying in the White House, continuing to be our President as long as he accepts that fact he’s not going to be after January 20th,” The Republican added.
Cramer says the president should begin to focus on repairing his relationship with the American people.
US Sen. Tina Smith, a Minnesota Democrat, said she would support Trump’s removal from office, either by invoking the 25th Amendment or through impeachment proceedings. Smith called the President “a danger to our democracy.”
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is calling for impeachment or constitutional removal.
