MOORHEAD, Minn – Augustana swept the season-opening series against Minnesota State University Moorhead on Sunday with an 89-79 win from Nemzek Fieldhouse.
Michael Schaefer scored a game-high 23 points and Tyler Riemersma added 18 points and 11 rebounds in the win for the Vikings.
Lorenzo McGhee was one of five Dragons in double figures finishing with a team-high 20 points and Jacob Beeinga added 18 points.
MSUM (0-2 overall) plays at Minnesota Crookston on Friday for their next contest at 5:30 p.m.
Augustana (2-0 overall) travels to Mankato for a date with Minnesota State on Friday at 6 p.m.
