The Fargo Oak Grove Grovers picked up their second win of the young boy’s basketball season over Hillsboro/Central Valley Burros by a score of 73-66. The Grovers took the lead from the opening tip and maintained that lead for the duration of the game.
Oak Grove’s shooters rained in 10 three-pointers on the night and they also had 10 players in the scoring column. Senior forward Noah Swenson not only led the Grovers in scoring, but he was also able to tally a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Oak Grove is now 2-1 on the season and will be on the road on December 30 for a game against Thompson.
Hillsboro/Central Valley was led by a strong 19 point outing for senior guard Jackson Anderson. One glaring team statistic from this game was the Burro’s 17 turnovers. This loss drops HCV to 2-2 this season and their next game will be on the road against Hatton/Northwood on January 5.
