MOORHEAD, Minn. (MSUM Athletics) — Minnesota State University Moorhead head women’s basketball coach Karla Nelson has announced the signing of Sarah Kingland of Owatonna, Minn., for the 2020-21 season.
Kingland is a 5-foot-11 forward who is entering her senior season at Owatonna High School.
“I’m looking for to coaching Sarah. She has a big upside,” Nelson said. “I also think that academically MSUM fits her perfectly.”
Kingland was an all-area selection and team captain as a junior. She is a two-time all-conference selection. She averaged 14 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game with a career high of 25 points.
She is a three-year letterwinner in basketball and also lettered in soccer and track and field.
Kingland joins Raegan Alexander of St. Louis Park, Minn., Lizzie Berkvam from Lakeville, Minn., Macy Holtz of Plainview, Minn., Natalie Jens of Beaver Dam, Wis., and Allisa Knight of Brooten, Minn., as Dragon recruits for 2020-21.
