Christmas Holiday Schedules for City Offices, Fargo Cass Public Health, Fargo Library, MATBUS and Garbage & Recycling Collections
FARGO, N.D. (Dec. 21, 2020) – The City of Fargo offices, Fargo Cass Public Health, Fargo Public Library, MATBUS routes and garbage & recycling collections will be impacted by the Christmas holiday. The following closures and service changes will be in effect from Thursday, December 24 through Friday, December 25.
Thursday, December 24:
- City offices and Fargo Cass Public Health: Close at noon
- Fargo Public Library (all branches): Close at noon
- MATBUS: The Ground Transportation Center will close and fixed route and MAT paratransit routes will stop running at 5:15 p.m.
- Sanitary Landfill and Household Hazardous Waste Facility: Regular hours
Friday, December 25:
- City offices and Fargo Cass Public Health: Closed
- Fargo Public Library (all branches): Closed
- MATBUS: No services
- Garbage and recycling collections: Tuesday through Friday routes all collected one day early
- Sanitary Landfill and Household Hazardous Waste Facility: Closed
City of West Fargo Christmas and New Year’s Day closures and garbage schedule changes
(WEST FARGO, N.D. – Dec. 18, 2020) The City of West Fargo is closed Thursday, Dec. 24, Friday, Dec. 25, and Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, in observance of Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. These holidays affect city services in the following ways:
- Thursday, Dec. 24, and Friday, Dec. 25, garbage will be collected Thursday, Dec. 24.
- Friday, Dec. 25, recycling service will be collected Saturday, Dec. 26.
- Thursday, Dec. 31, and Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, garbage will be collected Thursday, Dec. 31.
- Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, recycling will be collected Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021.
On Thursday, Dec. 24, and Friday, Dec. 25, as well as Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, all municipal government buildings are closed to the public, including City Hall, Public Library, Sanitation, Public Works and the Transfer Station. Public safety agencies are in full operation but the West Fargo Police and Fire Departments remain closed to the public on these days.
