MEXICO CITY (Reuters) – The Mexican government hopes to finalize a contract with China’s CanSino Biologics Inc for 10 to 35 million COVID-19 vaccine doses next week, a senior health ministry official told local radio on Thursday, as the search for vaccine supplies heats up globally.
The range of 10 million to 35 million vaccine doses contrasts with Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard’s comments last week that the health ministry had signed an agreement to buy 35 million doses of CanSino’s vaccine.
