Northern Minnesota tribes want construction halted on Enbridge Line 3

ST.PAUL, MINN. – The Red Lake and White Earth bands are asking state regulators to halt the imminent construction of Enbridge’s Line 3 pipeline across northern Minnesota.

The bands want construction put on hold pending the outcome of a case before the state Court of Appeals.

The Public Utilities Commission is unlikely to grant the bands’ request, but it’s a legal step they must take before likely asking the appeals court to put the pipeline project on hold.
