MOORHEAD, Minn. (MSUM Athletics) – Minnesota State University Moorhead head volleyball coach Bob Jones has announced that Jadyn Feist of Horace, N.D., and Abby Thompson of Chisholm, Minn., have signed to become Dragons for the 2021 season.
Here’s a look at the two Dragon signees:
Jadyn Feist (OH, 5-11, Horace, N.D./West Fargo Sheyenne HS)
All-state and All-EDC in 2019…in the midst of her senior season, she has more than 1,100 career kills and is closing in on 1,100 career digs…career-high of 23 kills in a match…had 413 kills and 401 digs as a junior in 2019…four-year letterwinner.
“Jadyn is one of the top players in North Dakota and she brings strength and skill to the outside hitting position,” Jones said. “Jadyn has a great arm, but also great ball control with her passing and defense. We are super excited to welcome her to Dragon volleyball.”
Abby Thompson (MB, 6-0, Chisholm, Minn./Chisholm HS)
Playing senior season, has more than 800 career kills…5-year varsity starter…three-year varsity captain…two-time all-conference selection…has career highs of 26 kills and 23 digs…five-year letterwinner.
“We are extremely excited to have Abby join Dragon Volleyball,” Jones said. “Abby gives us more depth at our Middle Hitter position and she is very physical at the net with attacking and blocking. Abby is also a great asset from the back row with her attacking and defense.”
