Saturday night we reset the clocks to “fall back” after the “spring ahead”
Even as a kid I never looked forward to “adding an hour”.
Can we really add an hour? I had a Native American friend explain that if you had a blanket and cut the bottom off and sewed it to the top you’d just spent needless time to have the same length of blanket.
It falls in line with my mantra that I don’t need a clock to tell me what time I’m hungry. I may eat lunch at 8 a.m and dinner at 2:30 p.m. When I’m hungry I eat. I don’t need a clock to tell me when it’s time to eat.
I don’t need a clock to tell me when I’m tired. When I’m tired I go to bed. So this weekend we’ll fall back. I’ll wake up when I’m no longer tired, I’ll eat when I’m hungry. Then I’ll change the clock. Again.
