HILLSBORO – The Hillsboro/Central Valley Burros defeated the Kindred Vikings 21-6, giving the Vikings their first loss of the season. This now marks five straight wins for the Burros.
The Burros (7-1 overall) were led by quarterback Sam Preston who threw for a pair of touchdowns. The first went to wide receiver Nathan Rage for 46 yards in the first quarter. Preston’s second touchdown went to wide receiver Parker Gallagher in the third quarter. Gallagher had a nice outing as well; not only did he catch his second touchdown of the year, but he also came away with an interception late in the fourth quarter to seal the win for the Burros.
Hillsboro/Central Valley will play their final regular season game on the road against the Valley City Hi-Liners on Oct. 24th at 1:00 p.m.
As for the Vikings (4-1 overall), they’ll look to bounce back after the loss when they head to Devils Lake. They’re set to face the Firebirds on Oct. 24th at 1:30 p.m. for their regular season finale.
