GRAND FORKS – Fargo native Tyler Kleven was selected by the Ottawa Senators with the 44th selection in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.
The University of North Dakota defenseman joins teammate Jake Sanderson going to the Senators.
Sanderson was selected with the fifth overall pick in the opening round.
Kleven played his last two seasons with the U.S. Under 17 & 18 National Development Team Program before entering his freshman year at UND.
