MINOT, N.D. – Hannah Herbel of Bismarck Century has a five-stroke advantage heading into day two of the North Dakota Class A girls golf tournament.
Herbel has won the last two individual tournaments and shot a one-under 71 from the Souris Valley Golf Course on Monday. Carrie Carmichael of Williston and Greta McArthur of Shanley both shot a four-over 76.
Fargo Shanley has a three-stroke lead over Mandan on the team side. Defending back-to-back state champion Bismarck Century is 9 strokes behind.
The tournament concludes on Tuesday.
