WASHINGTON, D.C. – U-S Senator Amy Klobuchar is asking the U-S Army to reinvestigate a suicide case involving a Minnesota soldier.
Private Nicole Burnham,21, of Andover, was sexually harassed and assaulted while she served at Camp Casey in South Korea two years ago. Her body was found in her room at Fort Carson, Colorado about a month after she was transferred stateside.
Klobuchar made the request concerning a new allegation of sexual assault that happened after the victim was transferred.
Burnham’s mother says the new revelation raises questions about the Army’s original investigation into her daughter’s death.
