Louisville, Kentucky will look a bit different than in the past for this year’s 2020 North American International Livestock Expo.
One of the bigger changes this year includes the event being closed to the general public. Participants will have wrist bands for entrance and the number of wristbands a participant receives depends on the number of the head they are showing (ex. 1-5 head=3 wristband).
Face masks/coverings will be required for everyone in attendance and everyone entering the facility will be required to submit a COVID waiver.
As for livestock, all beef cattle will be required to have a USDA 840 EID Tag. This includes all transit and sale cattle.
All cattle shall be reported negative on an ELISA or PCR BVD-PI test that has been collected by an accredited veterinarian. The results and date of the test shall be recorded on the CVI issued for entry onto the KEC for the NAILE.
Entries are still open for this year. October 1 is the early entry and junior ownership deadline. Late entry deadline is October 10.
More information on this year’s NAILE can be found at www.livestockexpo.org.
