The Jamestown Blue Jays have a chance to add onto one of their best starts in school history Friday.
A win over Valley City would give Jamestown their first 4-0 start to the season since 2000.
The non-conference matchup against the Hi-Liners came about quickly, as Valley City’s game against Kindred was postponed. Kindred found positive cases of COVID within the high school and went to a distance learning platform for two weeks. The Vikings have their next scheduled game on October 2nd against Central Cass.
All Eastern Dakota Conference schools have a bye week and will return to action on Friday, October 2 as well.
In Class 2A, region play begins for most teams this weekend.
No 1. Bismarck St. Mary’s has pitched a shutout in all 4 games this season, outscoring their competition 140-0 in the process.
Hillsboro-Central Valley moved back to No. 2 following their 23-14 win over ranked Beulah.
