FARGO – The Sioux Falls Canaries erased a 3-run deficit in the top of the ninth inning and defeated the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks 9-4 on Thursday afternoon from Newman Outdoor Field.
Sioux Falls scored eight runs in the ninth on seven hits and one Fargo-Moorhead error.
With the game tied at 4, Sioux Falls outfielder Mike Hart hit a fly ball to shallow center field, and RedHawks outfielder Forrestt Allday lost the ball in the sun, which allowed Logan Landon to score the winning run.
RedHawks designated hitter Drew Ward extended his hitting streak to 21 games in the third inning.
