Fire cause determined at NDSU’s Ladd Hall

FARGO, N.D. (KFGO) – Investigators have determined the cause of a fire at NDSU’s Ladd Hall. A chemical solution placed in a combustible container on top of a device used to heat or stir started the fire.

The fire department says the chemicals were left unattended.

The fire occurred on the first floor of the chemistry lab building a week ago. The lab sustained significant smoke and fire damage.  No one was injured.
