St. Paul- RedHawks can’t make the defensive plays down the stretch, lose a heart breaker 3-2.
The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks got a brilliant start from pitcher John Anderson Tuesday. Anderson went six and two thirds innings, only allowing one run, and striking out five.
The Saint would would be the first to get on the board at CHS field, as Nate Samson found the outfield for an RBI single.
The RedHawks would respond in the sixth with a Drew Ward high fly ball that somehow left the field, scoring Prime, and giving the RedHawks a 2-1 lead.
It would stay 2-1 until the bottom of the eighth, when the Saints would load the bases with the help of a Brett Jones error. Saints batter Alonzo Harris would hit a tough ball on the left side that would result in an infield single and another error, giving the Saints a painful 3-2 victory.
