Still no confirmed Covid-19 cases in Lake of the Woods County

BAUDETTE, MN (KFGO) – Lake of the Woods County in northern Minnesota is the only county in the state without a confirmed case of COVID-19.

The so-called “Walleye Capital World” is the lone county in Minnesota, Wisconsin or Michigan with no cases.

Tourism Bureau Executive Director Joe Henry says they probably have more deer than people and a lot of land.

Resorts are using face masks and following local and state health guidelines. The closure of the Canadian border has reduced the tourist numbers in that region.
