ROSEMOUNT, IL – The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks soared past the Chicago Dogs 14-2 Friday night.
The RedHawks got on the board in the top of the second inning with a Drew Ward solo home run to take a 1-0 lead. A Christina Ibarra blasted a triple that brought in 2 runs lifting the ‘Hawks to a 3-0 lead. Ibarra scored on a Dylan Kelly sacrifice fly to make it 4-0.
Fargo-Moorhead added a run in the top of the third inning on a Dario Pizzano RBI single that plated Correlle Prime making it 5-0 RedHawks.
A six-run fourth inning gave the RedHawks a 11-0 lead.
Pizzano drove in Kelly in the top of the sixth inning to make it 12-0 RedHawks.
Blake Grant-Parks hit a 2-run shot in the top of the seventh inning to take a 14-0 lead.
The Dogs got 2 runs back in the bottom of the eighth inning but were unable to rally as the ‘Hawks hold on for the 14-2 win.
