
Fargo Police Chief Dave Todd
FARGO (KFGO) โ After initially agreeing to stay on until his replacement is found, Fargo Police Chief Dave Todd says he now intends to leave the department at the end of the month. Todd announced his retirement in May.
โYou know what, Iโll miss it to, just miss working with those amazing people within the department, they become like family to you and I just will miss them incredibly,โ Todd said on KFGO News and Views with Joel Heitkamp.
โI wonโt miss some of the other stuff that comes along with the job, some of the stress of it,โ he concluded.
Since the retirement announcement, Todd has dealt with demonstrations and a downtown riot tied to the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis. One of his deputy chiefs also resigned after he claimed to be working undercover during the the May 30 protest that turned violent.
Todd joined the department in 1987. He was named police chief six years ago.
