Despite a leadoff inside-the-park home run from Abby Richmond, Northern Cass was unable to pick up their first win in the North Dakota Impact Softball League, falling 16-8 against Hankinson.
Hankinson responded to Northern Cass’s two-run first inning with six runs of their own and they never looked back.
Richmond was able to pick up another inside-the park home run in her next at bat and finished the game 4-for-4 with 4 runs scored and 2 RBI.
On Hankinson’s side, Maxine Eble hit an inside-the-park home run of her own and also batted a perfect 3 for 3 with 4 runs scored and 2 RBI.
Hankinson improves to 3-1 on the season, while Northern Cass falls to 0-3 in the Impact League.
Hankinson will take on Pembina County North on Tuesday, while Northern Cass will look to pick up their first win of the season against Thompson on Tuesday as well.
