GRAND FORKS, ND (KFGO) – Former University of North Dakota hockey player Brandon Bochenski is the new Grand Forks mayor.

Boechenski, a real estate developer, has pushed long time mayor Mike Brown out of office.

Bochenski had the support of local Republicans. He had more than 49% of the vote to Brown’s 32%. Robin David was also on the ballot. Former city council member Art Bakken ran as a write-in candidate.I
