MOORHEAD, Minn. (MSUM Athletics) – Minnesota State University Moorhead head men’s basketball coach Chad Walthall has announced that Gatdoar Kueth of Des Moines, Iowa, has signed to join the Dragons in 2020-21.
Kueth, a 6-foot-6 wing, spent last season at Division I Northwestern State and will have one year of eligibility remaining at MSUM.
“Gatdoar will join us for his final season of eligibility and will provide depth and athleticism to our front court,” Walthall said. “He can defend multiple positions and will help our team’s rebounding potential, and offensively has a good mix of inside and outside play. We are very excited to have him join the dragon program at this stage of the recruiting year.”
He was a regular in the rotation at Northwestern State last season, appearing in 27 games with two starts. He had a career-high 11 points against Sam Houston State.
Prior to NSU, Kueth averaged 12.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per game at Southwestern Community College in Iowa. As a freshman he was all-region.
Kueth played his high school career at Roosevelt High School in Des Moines.
