Altru Health System
GRAND FORKS, ND (KFGO) – Grand Forks-based Altru Health System has eliminated 167 jobs because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Most of the reductions are in support and administrative departments.
President Dr. Steven Weiser says he had he hoped Altru would not have to make the reductions.
Before the announcement, Altru says it made several moves to offset significant financial losses, including reductions in executive, leadership, and doctor’s pay, workforce adjustments and stopping construction of the new hospital.
